Yes, I do have a new camera. It's cheap but better than my phone.

Special item of the day: this red and white striped jacket. It's a little, I dunno, french mixed with suburban nineties. I think. I have no idea about anything, so I'm just guessing here.

Thrifted:
  • Live A Little red/white striped cotton cropped jacket $7
  • Random white tank $3
  • Black with tiny pinhead white polka dots straight lined skirt $5
  • Red/white/tan/black tapestry belt w/silver buckle $2
  • Vintage wooden bead clip on earrings $2
  • Mudd chunky heel black boots $10
  • Golden bangles $2
Not thrifted:
  • Black lace tights $7
What I would change about this outfit now that I've seen the photo:
  • Red/black/white is sooooo boring. I need another color. Like more of the goldy yellow in the bangles.
Total outfit cost: $38

  1. Yay for buttoning only the top button of the jacket! I love that gag and often do it with my cardigans. For about two decadea I've been wanting to get one of those cardigan sweater chains that clip both sides together, you know? Have not found this in my many years of thrifting.

I hate to tell you this but now that you're doing this blog, you have to keep coming up with new outfits. Or at least you have to mix 'em around so we can't recognize them.

  3. Mrs. Superhero: a) is there any other way to wear cardigans? and b) I JUST BOUGHT ONE OF THOSE CHAINS. It's called a "chain guard" which I had to make the lady repeat nine times because it's just not the right name for something so sweet and lovely. and c) I have just realized that I must keep coming up with something new. Ha ha. Check back later today in which I attempt an outfit with two belts. I KNOW. I AM CRAZY BOLD.

EVE: You're nice! I totally dig YOUR style ... in that everything you cook sounds like I'd like to DIG IN to it right away.
